Although
Volkswagon confines themselves to build small buses in Germany, they offer
a number of full size bus and coach chassis in Brazil with the
co-operation with MAN and Brazilian Ford.
The 17.240 OT is
an interurban bus chassis built for Brazilian market. It is the first
rear-engined bus chassis produced by this make. Production started in
2003.
