Kowloon Motor Bus Duple Metsec bodied Tridents

Kowloon Motor Bus ordered 50 10.6m tridents in late 1999. They were built and registered in Hong Kong between December 1999 and February 2000. ATS23 (JK2026) above was taken on Ma Tau Wai Road on 19 February 2000, the first day of operation of Tridents on Cross Harbour Route 108.

ATS35 (JK8140) was photographed at Tin Shui Wai Town Centre Bus Terminus on 4 March 2000. It participated the test run of 264M, which started using 10.6m Tridents the following day.

This picture shows the next bus stop indicator of ATS35. Only ATS class buses on routes 68X, 264M and 269C have this feature. You can also see the position of periscope, and emergency break glass hammer in the driver's cab.

ATS5 (JH8051) was parked at Star Ferry on 19 March 2000. It was posed for a KMB TV advertisement.
