NWFB air-conditioned Condors serving Route 388

388 is a special route linking Chai Wan MTR Station and Cape Collinson Cemetery. It only operates on Sundays and public holidays around Ching Ming Festival and Chung Yeung Festival, the two Chinese festivals that people go to cemetries and respect their ancestors. The pictures were taken on 2 April 2000, two days before Ching Ming Festival.

People lined up and got on DA20 at Chai Wan MTR Station.

There are two crowds. One will be seated and the other had to stand. The bus collect the seated passengers first (first picture). After that, it moved forward to collect standees, as shown in this picture.

DA87 was fully loaded and was heading Cape Collinson on Wan Tsui Road. You can see the passenger in white holding the rail beyond the windscreen. It would probably block the driver's view, but it is a common scene in Hong Kong, especially at rush hours.
