The BS106 Royal City is a high floor city bus. It is the successor of the BS105 city bus with higher power engine. The first bus rolled out of the assembly plant in January 1991. Available in city bus, coach and CNG bus (for major cities in Korea) variants, the BS106 has gained a large market share in Korea, although a little smaller than that of Hyundai Aerocity in terms of route bus market. The BS106 is also becoming popular on streets in Hanoi for the replacement of the obsolete Pavlovsky and IFA buses. It is also the first type of full size city bus in Hanoi equipped with roof-top air conditioning.
