China Motor Bus Victory 2s

LV12 (CF9655, JVTB-970655), Stubbs Road, 1981 (Photo courtesy: George Markland)

These two photographs of CMB Victory 2 show the difference of doors on the right. The former one is more common in the CMB fleet, but all KMB Victory 2s and Jubliants were fitted with sliding doors. Of course, the sliding doors in KMB's Victory 2s have several variants. Both pictures were taken in early 1998 on King's Road.
Upper: LV40 (CJ2155, JVTB-790674); Lower: LV29 (CH5815, JVTB-790656)

These two photographs shows major differences in KMB and CMB Alexander CB bodied Victory 2s. As mentioned in the text, KMB (the one on the left) had a large bumper on the left while the CMB vehicles did not have any. Another difference was that KMB used fixed glass at the last side windows on the lower deck and CMB opted sliding windows. These photographs were very old. The first one is belived to be taken in early 1990s on Ma Tau Wai Road, the 1K bus (G228, CJ 2088, JVTB-800271) was heading KCR Kowloon Station from Mong Kok Station. The 40M bus on the right (LV115, CP 1443, JVTB-801163) was taken on 5 April 1993 on Queen's Road Central. It was heading Wa Fu Estate from Admiralty MTR Station. The KMB route has been cancelled and the CMB route has been transferred to Citybus.

These two photographs show the difference in the front ends of Victory 2s receiving Alexander and Duple Metsec bodies. The one on the left (LV116, CP1298, JVTB-801164) was taken in Causeway bay in summer 1998. CMB liked to put its company name on the top left hand corner of its vehicles. This was especially true for Guy Arabs and Victory2s. The photograph on the right shows a Duple Metsec bodied Victory 2 (LV155, CT6038, JVTB-801791). It had a deeper windscreen than Alexander bodied vehicles. It was taken at Siu Sai Wan Bus Terminus on 11 August 1998.

This picture was taken on 10 April 1993 outside Victoria Park. Note that there was a bumper at the back of Duple Metsec bodied Victory 2s (LV163, CU3183, JVTB-801782).
