Singapore Bus Services / SBS Transit Volvo Super Olympians

All the pictures on this page were taken on 19 January 2000 at Bedok Bus Interchange.

SBS9888Y is the first SBS Super Olympian. The front body design of Volgren CR222LD has some influence from Alexander ALX500.

It has been deployed to Route 87, linking Sengkang New Town and Bedok. The bus has pink 2+2 seating.

Low Floor Design: Easy boarding and alighting
Air Suspension: Provides excellent ride comfort
Disc Brake System: Provides stable and uniform braking
Green Engine: Environment-friendly Euro 2 engine with lower and cleaner emissions

The air-conditioning system is different from that of KMB and NWFB.

Like the new Olympians in SBS, it has no upper deck emergency exit. Note the radiator cover at the right side.
