The first bus was bodied by Volgren and delivered in 2003. It entered service in April 2004. SBS Transit purchased 200 B9TLs fitted with Comfort Delgro bodies. They were the first double deckers of the company with assigned wheelchair area. In 2010, they purchased 350 more Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied buses. The 2-axle and 3-axle B9TL were also popular in United Kingdom. They were used as city buses and open top sight-seeing buses. In 2010, two 2-axled B9TLs were delivered to Kowloon Motor Bus and Citybus respectively. Return to Volvo Bus Corporation Page created: 23 May 2004 Last updated: 29 January 2012 |
