Spartan Motors Chassis IncorporatedSpartan Motors Chassis Inc is a subsidiary of the Spartan Motors Inc. The parent company was founded in 1975 in Charlotte, Michigan by a group of former employees of Diamond Reo Trucks Inc. Although they build bus chassis, the most remarkable products are fire engines and heavy duty trucks. They use Cummins and Detroit Diesel engines. In 1997, about 10 Spartan buses fitted with Cummins engines and Detroit Diesel engines were shipped to New Zealand as of shelf units.
