The three major franchised bus operators in Hong Kong promoted their Millennium buses in late 1999. The first one was KMB, in November. New World First Bus promoted in early December. Both operators chose 12m long Dennis Tridents. Citybus unveiled this bus on 21 December. It is a Plaxton bodied Olympian. Its opaque overall advertisement covered all the windows on both sides, so that the bus could not carry passengers. This bus traveled through different parts of Hong Kong in Christmas and New Year holidays. Another bus, a Duple Metsec bodied Trident (2301), also carried a similar advertisement. But its windows were not covered and carry passengers.
