Wiener Linien NM 155 N9Hs

All photos were taken in Vienna city centre on 23 August 2004.

Vienna is a modernised city filled with traditional elements. Modern shopfronts are installed on the external walls of historical buildings. With virtually zero emission to the environment, both the traditional 2 hp carriage and the modern 155hp LPG powered bus co-exist in the city centre.

Hofburg used to be the imperial palace of Habsburg emperors. It has become a tourist spot with exhibition halls. Although the NM 155 N9H has an overall height of 3.45m, the carefully designed LPG tank allowed the bus to negotiate with this passage without problem. Height restriction for the passage is only 3.0m.

8303 was driven past the passage.

The other side of the passage showed 8312.

8311 was photographed outside Neue Burg (The New Palace).
