The NEOPLAN Starliner N516 is a new generation of touring bus. The Starliner was first introduced in IAA 1997, with two variants: the 12.0m long N516SHD and the 13.7m long N516SHDL. The streamlined body has a dome shaped windscreen at the passenger level, which provides a wider view. The A-shaped window behind the driver's seat is another symbol of the Starliner. One year later, the 3.855m tall N516SHDH and N516SHDHL were put into market. They feature with a box on top of each axle for storage of luggage and skis. The 12.84m variant N516SHDHC was introduced in 2002. Because of its good outlook and luxurious interior fittings, the Starliner are awarded Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2003.
