Metrobus DR115 Photographs (Page 7)The photographs and text below belong to Anthony Lui. You may set the photographs as the wallpaper in your PC. However, you must seek Anthony Lui's permission and state the source before you place any of the pictures on the WWW or show it in public. Self-discipline is expected as I do not put my name in the pictures so as to retain its originality. Ex-NWFB Metrobuses in SydneyEnsign Bus Company bought nearly all ex-NWFB Metrobuses DR115s. Some of them have been transported to Australia and converted into open-top buses. Others have been transported to Britain and converted to single-doored school buses and open-top buses. The photographs on this page were taken in Westbus Arncliffe Depot on 25 August 2000. (Acknowledgement: Stephen Cho for taking Anthony to the depot) The bus on the above picture had its top opened in Hong Kong for Ensign Bus. However, it may not be able to serve passengers in Sydney because of the overhead cables for the light rail in the area. According to Australian laws and regulations, some changes have been made to these buses. During rainy seasons, flooding is common in cities in Australia, so many buses and trucks have upward-pointing exhaust pipes to avoid water from entering the engine. The ex-ML class is no exception. This picture shows the interior details of a bus being converted. Note the fiber glass cover for the new straight flight stairs. This is the new flight of stairs. It was believed to be a plaxton product. This picture is taken from an unmodified ML. NWFB has added a new lamp to the side panel. During its time in CMB and NWFB, it had 3+2 layout. The two-seaters fitted to open-top ML's were believed to be taken from the withdrawn Fleetlines. In order to provide a safer environment, Ensign Bus added strips of plastics on the handles. The driver's seat has been remounted by NWFB before shipping to Australia. This is another ML, but its roof has not been removed.
