The O 400 is an economic omnibus chassis built in Brazil.

Surfside Buslines of Australia purchased a number of O 400s during 1998-99 and they are bodied by a subsidiary of the operator - Bustech. Most newly bought Surfside buses are bodied by the company.

Manufacturing Commercial Vehicles Co. (MCV) is the sole agent of Mercedes-Benz in Egypt producing buses and commercial vehicles. The plant is located in Al Obour City and began operating in 1994. It has completed the final stages of production in May 2000.

MCV500 is a tourist coach based on the O 400 chassis. It is widely used in Egypt.
