Leyland Olympian 11.2m PhotographsThe photographs and text below belong to Anthony Lui. You may set the photographs as the wallpaper in your PC. However, you must seek Anthony Lui's permission and state the source before you place any of the pictures on the WWW or show it in public. Self-discipline is expected as I do not put my name in the pictures so as to retain its originality. EB1030 was the first Leyland Olympian with Eastern Coach Works coach body. It was photographed in 1993 at Edinburgh Place, Central. After the refurbishment, EB1030 (ON281) has the front end of Alexander R-type body. This picture was photographed on 24 July 1999. This picture shows the interior details of the lower saloon. It was photographed on the same day as the above picture. The driving panel of ON281 is nearly the same as other Citybus Olympians, no matter it is air-conditioned or not. The light indicating the insufficient charge is lit. The last two lamps at the right hand side indicates the bell and the opening of door. They are not present in KMB or CMB's Olympians. These two operators put the indicators above the windscreen. Note also the characteristic gear selection panel of Leyland 4-speed Hydracyclic Gearbox. The upper deck has been converted to open-top. You can see the special position of the periscope in ON281. Is it similar to that of Plaxton/Northern Countries Olympian? Go to Page 2 Return to Leyland Olympian 11.2m Page created: 7 July 1999 Last updated: 15 January 2001 |
