Its axle is specially designed to reduce the noise made by the bus when it is in motion. The windscreen of this bus is also very strange. It curves inwards. It is like a city bus in 50s. This design gained domestic orders, but it did not gain many orders overseas. Leyland sent a Lynx to Singapore Bus Services in 1988, but there is no further order for such a type. The type ceased production in June 1990, after Volvo overtook Leyland Bus. The SBS Lynx has ventilation system, two doors and full sized sliding windows. It is usually parked in Ang Mo Kiu Depot.
