Citybus Atlanteans

A616 (FU1528) served Route 98 in 1997. This route was the last Citybus non-airconditioned Route. Atlanteans were replaced by 10.4m Leyland Olympians and Dennis Dragons after 28 March 1999. Although this is not a good photograph, it is important. It tells you several things. When Citybus started its 26 routes on 1 September, 1993, the slogan "Network 26 ·s¨½µ{" appeared on most of its buses. You can see that the front end of the bus has been changed to Alexander R-type standard, although there is no radiator in the front. This bus was photographed at Aberdeen Bus Terminus.

A660 retained the original Alexander L Type body. It has not been a passenger bus in Hong Kong. The picture above was taken in 1998 and the second picture was taken on 17 June 1999 on Aberdeen Praya Road.

A628 is another bus of this type. It was photographed in 1998 on Aberdeen Praya Road.

A699 (FX1940) is the only Citybus Atlantean with Alexander R Type body. It was photographed in 1998 on Aberdeen Praya Road.
