Kowloon Motor Bus Union Auto bodied Viking EVK55sThe photographs above were taken at KMB Shatin Depot on 28 March 1999. L297 has been preserved by Kowloon Motor Bus Co. since 1992. L297 (51750L) was registered on 16 September, 1976 as BL5039. It is not known why Kowloon Motor Bus has put the name plate of BM248 (L308, 51728A) on to the bus. From the postcard issued by the operator, the bus was wearing the name plate of BL5039. Anyway, L297 was photographed at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay, on 10 April 1993. It was bodied by a Hong Kong bodybuilder, Union-Auto. This picture shows the interior of the L297. It was photographed at KMB Shatin Depot in early 1990s. The 3+2 layout of was clearly shown. Note the fibreglass seats at both sides. They were different. The three-seaters were common to KMB Regents and CVG6s, but the back of the two-seaters were very uncommon.
The photographs above were taken in Shatin Depot in early 2000s. Go to Page 2 Return to Albion Viking EVK55 Page created: 19 January 1999 Last updated: 8 November 2009 |
